Abstract

The construction industry has become one of the most important economic sectors in the world. It is a major contributor to economic growth and development. The construction industry is also responsible for a significant portion of global resource consumption and waste production. As the world moves towards a more sustainable development path, the construction industry must play an important role in achieving this goal. This paper will explore the effects of the construction industry on sustainable development and discuss the ways in which this sector can help in attaining sustainable development goals.
