Abstract

The study examined grit as the mediating factor between pre-medical background, demographics (age, gender, and socioeconomic status), and its impact on academic success and resilience among medical students. Due to the unique and challenging demands of medical school, understanding how previous academic backgrounds and personal attributes shape grit (defined as perseverance and passion for long-term goals) can provide valuable insights into students’ abilities to handle academic pressure, and continue the goal of becoming a medical doctor.
