Abstract

In recent year the increase of population, commerce and trade and the cost of land in cities have resulted in a considerable increase in the number of tall buildings. At present, there are many factors effecting the selection and design of the high-rise building structural system. In order to compete in the ever growing competent market it is very important for a Structural Engineer to save time. Simulation modelling is used to help designers and engineers understand whether, under what conditions, and in which ways a part could fail and what loads it can withstand.
