Abstract

Controlled access and management of Personal Health Records(PHR) in shared environment like Cloud Computing is very challenging task. This paper deals with models and techniques which enhance data security in Cloud Computing. We explore how key-policy attribute-based encryption (KP-ABE) scheme can be used to provide security by encrypting the vital medical information stored in PHR. Using this scheme, patients can encrypt their PHRs and store them on a honest-but-curious cloud server such that the server do not have access to sensitive data. Meanwhile, patients maintain full access of their own data, by assigning fine-grained, attribute-based access privileges to selected data users or third parties. Different users or parties can have access to different parts of the data.
