Abstract

It is impossible to overstate the role that the housing sector plays in the expansion and development of the economy. The industry is crucial to the socioeconomic advancement of any nation. Through its effects on important macroeconomic variables like commodity sales, employment, savings, investment, and labor productivity, the sector contributes to economic growth and development. The construction and usage of adequate housing has an impact on a person's environment, physical and mental health, and overall well-being. Therefore, the goal of this article is to create a point of convergence between housing and national economic development. The idea that housing and the services that go along with it should receive enough attention since they can significantly contribute to national (economic) development is supported by a worldwide case study.
